Many of our users who need remote support do not have administrative rights for their computers (Vista OS). Whenever they start running PHW server, they are blocked by the above window.

Can this solution ...

My wish list for future version:

1. Voice chat

2. Server can decide whether to let Viewer control his/her computer

3. Able to pass through transparent proxy

The D-Link router does not seem to have any setting related to enable/disable loopback. May be there is something else, but I can't figure out.

I am testing both Viewer and Server from locations outside the office today, with Reapter stays behind rounter in the office.

Great! The connection is working.

Next, I tested with Viewer outside the office, and Server in the office (same LAN as the Repeater).

Now, both waiting for each other but ...

Since there is no probelm testing with repeater01.ultravnc.info, the problems should come from the repeater's settings and my router's settings.

But the point is that both viewer and server have already ...

The viewer is PcHelpWare Viewer GUI 1.0.0.1 and the server is created using the "Create Server" feature within the viewer.

Do you mean using the distributor.exe downloaded from http://sc.uvnc.com/Update_10July.zip ?

I have used it but the outcome is still the same. That is, both sides are waiting and no connection.

I am installing a Repeater at my own PC behind a modem/router. Ports 5901, 5500 and 443 have been forwarded.

I started Viewer and Server on two PCs. Both are connected to Repeater successfully. One is waiting for Server and the other one is waiting for Viewer.

However, there is no connection after ...

Wouldn't it be nice if the repeater can be built into router firmware, like DD-WRT?

In that way, we can just use the router as repeater and no computer is needed!

Possible?

Maybe an issue with the pchelpware repeater.

I would not use the ID 1234. Try other combinations

like 8732 or 99738 the more unique the combination the better change you will not hit an id that another user is trying..;)

Not working again these two days. :(

Error message something like

No connection could be made because the target machine a.......
Init Network failed

The message window is too small and cannot be expanded. Hence, cannot see the whole message.

Looks like something is not right at ...

I connect via repeater succussfully today! Both with and without Https Proxy are working.

What have I done? I am not too sure if it is because of 1SCVDLL.dll and 1SCDLL.dll update.

I updated them yesterday but the connection was still failed.

But the connection is working today!

I have the same error message for server, except that the code is 10053, not 10054, and there is a message "An established connection was aborted by the software in yo..." (log window is to small! Cannot expand to see the complete message)
