has any progress been made with this feature request, or has this been discounted as unfeasible?

i would like to see this aswell, perhaps you could be able to have the ability to point it at a company jpg that cna be stretched/centred on the black screen.

as our users upon seeing a black screen push and hold the power button, because they are cavemen.
