VNC-Server: Handling of encrypted passwords
Hey folks,
i searched the forum but there seems to be no similar request:

DSM download site not working?
Hey folks,
the official download site for the dsm-plugins: http://msrc4plugin.home.comcast.net/index.html
seems to be down.
Unfortunately, i couldn't find any other site via google providing those downloads.
Are there some mirrors for these plugins?

VNC Server: password decryption possible without plugins?
Hi folks,
I searched this forum, Google and the FAQs. I am pretty sure that what I want is impossible, but I ask anyway...
Prehistory:
When I call up the Java applet from the Command-Line Interface, i can pass the password for the VNC Server as an argument like this:

Re: Further development of the Java Applet: Developers needed!
Hi again,
- Is it possible to use the current JavaViewer VNC Applet branch in the CVS?
Yep, it's up to date, the SVN one as well.
But Rudi, Marscha and I are the only ones allowed to add/update some code in CVS/SVN for now.
Hmm, ok,
Is there a possibility to create a separate CVS-subbranch ...

Further development of the Java Applet: Developers needed!
Hi folks,
I really think the JavaViewer VNC is a good piece of software.
Unfortunately, it has several shortcomings:
- There seems to be no further development in the last two years, i.e. this subproject seems to be dead.
- There are many subtle bugs (see below)
- No offense, but it is coded like ...

transmission of special key combinations with the applet
Hi folks,
the C-version of Ultravnc offers the possibility to convey special key combinations (like
CTRL + ESC to open up the windows start menu) to the client if the "roll / num"-button has been pushed.
Unfortunately, the java-Applet doesn't seem to offer this feature.
