I thought I had tried it before, but I guess not. I went ahead a recreated the custom file without the password and it connected fine (after taking the password out of the viewer as well). That just means I will have to go in a adjust the profiles on the other helpdesk computers which is ...

I'm not sure what I did wrong. We had it working, and now the veiwer keeps giving the message "an exising connection was forcibly closed by remote host" for both our external and internal connections. The only other error in debug is a socket error read, error code 10054.
