OK I set it to 0 and it still doesn't appear to work even after a computer reboot.So it's important to disable ForceGuest. Otherwise all authorization is done against the guest account!

Interesting. I wonder what those components are and if they might be available from an XP Pro CD or on the Microsoft website.

I use Windows XP Pro and Windows XP Media Center Edition to connect to computers. The computers I connect to are Windows XP Home Edition.

Thanks for the reply. I am not running it as a service. I created a log on name using VNC and use the VNC password. I am not using the Windows XP username/password.
