Have you downloaded the mirror driver recently? Although the mirror
driver files did not change with the release of 1.0.9.6, Rudi updated the
certificate to sometime in 2014. Prior to that change the mirror driver
cert was set to expire around April 10, 2011.

I cannot duplicate this issue with computers at my work. 1.0.9.6 set to
autoreconnect at "2", computers in question are Windows 7 Enterprise
SP1, x64.

I cannot duplicate the problem when using Directx with either ZRLE or
Hextile. No big deal to use the track cursor remotely in order to work
around of course (when using u2 with Directx)

Better test results

Using Directx
track cursor local = pointer NEVER resolves
track cursoe remote = this works

Not using Directx
Either cursor setting and the pointer resolves over a window as Rudi
suggests.

You mistunderstand. Delete saved settings from within the viewer interface...

Delete your saved settings on the main screen if you cannot select "u2". (per Rudi in recent conversation prior to release, somewhere on the forum.)

I recommend creating a custom EXE or MSI and then deploying it from SCCM. See the following for more information:

I am happy to report that I was able to accomplish video driver install automation using devcon.exe. Let me backup and give an overview of the total solution that we are using in our company environment:

Automated Install (in order)

1) Create an MSI for UltraVNC

To clarify (and please correct me if I am wrong), this does not automatically install the video driver, it merely copies the files to the C drive.

That is how I read it from this part of the instructions:

Could be worth trying opening a cmd prompt as an administrator, browsing to setupdrv.exe, and running that way. You may want to uninstall first, restart, and then try.

My best success at installing the video driver on Windows 7 has been from an elevated permission cmd prompt.

Did you have any luck using WIWW to install the video driver automatically?

As a point of follow up, Rudi's directions do allow one to prepopulate the certificate on a computer to avoid the prompt regarding trusting the publisher upon video driver install.

Looking at Windows 7 in our company environment, it appears very difficult to automate the installation of the video driver. To much darn security in the way.

I have gotten past the prompt for trusting the publisher by pre-installing the certificate, however any method I have tried to install the ...

When installing the video driver in my work environment on Windows 7, it is turning up as "signed by a publisher of unknown trust". This results in a prompt if one is an administrator and a silent refusal of the install otherwise.
