Thanks -
The one machine I can reach easily and use the remote desktop from is on 1.1.9.6 UVNC... I think it's using the registry since I cannot find that INI file anywhere on the C drive.
I'll be back in front of the machines again friday so I'll report back on if I can get it worked out... Thanks ...

response failed client authentication
Hi all -
I copied the keys and etc all to a new laptop for 5 different 'remotes'.
All of them work except 1.
On that one - I get "Response failed client authentication"
I've connected to another device on the network, then used RemoteDesktop to connect to the effected machine.

Re: View only password when using SecureVNCPlugin?
There seem to be many many permutations and combinations of how things go with setting up DSm plugin...
Perhaps our developers would look at the various configuration possibilities and put this into the main website as documentation?

Configure to use DSM, but password/passphrase only?
I don't want to bother with client keys.
I just need the server to require a secure connection and a password/passphrase.
How do I do that? it's not quite intuitive. You go to config the DSM plugin and you can enter a passphrase, but it still won't authenticate without the client key on the client ...

Re: SecureVNC DSM Plugin - ARC4, AES, RSA. x86 and x64!
I think my recent experiences with this plugin validate the possibility of a memory leak. I'm seeing that VNC server will periodically crash when connected for a long period of time.

If I don't select to use the plugin on the viewer, it won't connect... this is why I ask.adzm wrote:Just use the ARC4 version on the server. It will let the viewer know which cipher to use.

Re: Can't connect to my Vista64 VNC session
I am having this issue as well.
I have VNC32 installed on a couple of machines 1.0.6.4, i think.
I built the wife a new desktop, and installed Win7Ultimate RTM 64.
So, I figured I'd install VNC 64 (.6.5) on the new computer. I have the ARC4dsm plugin on all my machines, because i will access them ...

Re: MSLogon Domain Authentication when user is remote
If the local PC holder is logged in to the corporate VPN, this will work flawlessly.
So, how does the user login to the machine when they are remote? Do they login to their domain account, or do they login to a local machine account?

The system seems to generate an invisible pop-up dialog that says "you've chosen winlogin but no authdll" or something similar...
Any thoughts??
