Because we need the user to enter a session id to proxy thru the repeater since there are multiple people supporting end-users.

We also dont want each support engineer to have their own custom viewer.

The system works great now, except with the users wanting to put a password in when one is not ...

Could you put a switch to turn off the password dialog box. We've setup the server so that the user doesnt need to fill in the password box, but the box still shows, it just un-editable. It confuses the end-user, since they think they have to put something in that box.

Video is working properly.

Audio is not recording. I tried different Compression and different input lines. The volume button to the right does pull up anything, could be related?

Re-installed UltraVNC with the WinVNC server (before had no server).
Then rebooted everything.

Seems to be working now. Will test more. What a perfect fit!

Is a link to the test.avi that it created. Am using Microsoft Video 1 - default settings.

I also installed Ultravnc 101 to make sure. How can I verify the driver is installed correctly?

Am also having an issue, the play records, when I playback the .avi in windows media it shows a black screen with color pixeled lines like static. The the player crashes.

Am using, Microsoft Video Compression 1.0 in the video options.

If you are using the repeater this baloon displays when connected to the repeater. The viewer may not be connected yet or never connects.

There needs to be a notification when the actual viewer connects ...

Feature request.

1. On exit of SC - a balloon or dialog saying that the session has ended.
2. On connection of the viewer to single click, a dialog or balloon (so you can say "Support Tech is connected".

It would be nice to allow users to start a singleclick chat session, by right-clicking the icon in the systray.

BUT -- my orignal issue, was that single click, the support tech (viewer side) use to be able to start a chat, now that feature is removed on this last version. (it use to be there ...

Test out entering a ID number then backspacing on it. When I backspace is doesnt rub out the characters.

Does the repeater have the ability to install as a service? It seems that since this would be installed on a Internet server, that it should be able to operate as as service.

It would be nice to have a hotkey or a Windows-Key that when you press it, allows you to move your mouse around or outside of the window so it doesnt interfer with the remote end.

Seems that when am in the monitor mode helping an end user, I may need to move the cursor to do functions on my local ...

I agree - this would be a nice feature to add to SC.

It seems like some applications cause some blocking? Is this sound reasonable?

SC is great - but been having some issues with some computers. Some computer are not very responsive or if an application dies, we dont see the error screen, but the user does. Once the application is killed, SC comes back to life. Does anyone have suggestion or pointers what might be happening ...

Am unable to get the [DIRECT] attribute to work,
When testing without DIRECT is provide a menu and connects properly. But with the [DIRECT] an icon shows in the system tray, but nothing happens. Shouldnt it automatically connect to the host designated.
