I know the easy answer is just get the latest version but it's not as easy as one would like...

We've not kept up with the latest versions of UltraVNC and can't immediately bring all the systems up to the latest version.

That being the case, which versions work together and which will not work ...

In my case it is the inno x64 file that reports is corrupt on the download.

Actually both the MSI and inno x64 files fail to download for me. Both stop at around 75% done.

I've been thinking that my machine is running out of usable RAM, the it happened again last night and the RAM was only at 34 ...

I've still got an issue of UltraVNC server v1.0.9.6.1 hanging at times on my main WinXP machine that I cannot reproduce down to a concrete cause.

With the gray screen problem, I found that if the host machine had a screen saver or locked screen that doesn't change then you get the grey screen problem. I simply moved the mouse around for a bit and reconnected and the login box or normal screen showed again.

Yes, I can confirm the bug exists when the physical RAM gets full. How has the RAM usage changed since the previous versions?

Yes, there are apps taking a lot of data but it's not like it's running out of swap space. ie. 32bit OS wtih 4GB stick, the physical RAM usage is 3GB but the working set is only 3.5GB, so there is room to swap around.

Hello. This issue just got even more weird?!?

The server PC has two screens; left main with Windows Taskbar and right flow over secondary. The PC was left with Firefox 5 maximized on the right hand screen. (this is the weird part) Firefox 5 was fully working and functioning!?!

The machine has 400+GB of HDD space, so expect the line is talking about RAM memory.

Maybe it's running out of user space RAM which I believe is 2GB on a 32bit machine?

Yes, I tried the alpha capture as part of the "Double Connection" problem but no difference. IE 8 works, but not Firefox 4 or 5.

Yes, changing the screen saver to something that changed (eg. not blank) worked! Strange this behavior only started in 1.0.9.6.1?!?

As the server is running XP, should I leave the "Remove Aero (Vista)" option on as I expect it's ignored anyway?

I've worked out that when the server is in the screen saver mode, it is then that I need to reconnect the second time to get rid of the grey screen.

2) Yes, the problem only exists after a client connection is made and the Display Adapter "mv video hook driver 2" is enabled.

Did the 10961 get released? Got a minor issue with 1096 where if the network DHCP host gets reset while connected to another machine server, the Win7 32 client blue screens.

The problem is made worse when you are trying to create a reliable method to reproduce the problem in that it eventually mucks up the UltraVNC server so that it loses it connections and will not reconnect until the process is restarted.

Reading through Process Monitor doesn't reveal anything ...

It's a NVidia GeForce 9600 GT on XP. It's really strange as Firefox appears to start to try and render a web page then hangs. One would think it's trying to use that driver for the web page hardware rendering.

I've got an odd issue in that if I have the 1.0.9.6 video hook driver running, then Firefox 4 hangs after a few seconds. As soon as I disable or uninstall it, Firefox works fine again. Any ideas?

A few questions:
1) Where can we get the full installer for 1.0.9.6?
2) Why are we sticking to the 1.0.* line? Isn't this build good enough for a v1.1 release?
