I was wondering is it possible to loose separate programs(vncviewer, chunkvnc, etc) and port them to web...
That would be awsome. Just open up page, generate on-line ID and voila.
Other side would open on-line page, enter the ID...you know.

I could host (for free) repeater if there is demand.
I have my own server and fixed IP.

Hi,
I'd also like to see those fixes and updates. It it supposed to be buggy since it's not ready or near it.
Currently I've left bug fixes to be done later because I'm working on other useful features like live connections monitoring. Good luck, maybe you are more competent in that matter than I ...

Re: InstantSupport/Viewer to report on its connection status
I believe you want repeater to show you active connections?
In that case, I'm working on it and it really looks good.

Re: Will UltraVNC attempt to Reconnect to the Repeater
As much as i know, if you kill repeater and re-start it, the server connects back to it in about 7 min. Atleast, that's what my log files show me.

Re: Repeater web interface advice?
Hi,
Sorry for late response.
I just did quite a lot tests with php/html today, tried to manipulate linux.
BUT there are several problems, like, sure it would be possible to create php controller/GUI for the perl script, but then you'll need apache server running locally. That would make things too ...

Re: Linux repeater mod
Before I'm diving to security, i'm splitting the code into 2:
GUI mode and verbose mode.
If all goes well, the script will run in GUI by default and in verbose mode from command line.

Have you tried the script already? I'd like to get (any) comments.JonD wrote:lall,
A modified script to restrict to specified IDs would be great. Since most everyone here seems to be using the Perl script, I think I would like to switch.

I'm trying to mod ultravnc_repeater.pl so it would have simple security levels thus other mods.
Right now it has 3 running modes, normal, blacklist and whitelist mode.

Re: Linux repeater tips
I'll do necessary modifications and post complete modified script with complete how-to.
Since it's Christmas (happy holidays to all) it's gonna take me some time.
And since I'm not a programmer or a developer, the process may be slower than it's for some qualified perl-philologist

I use the repeater from

and auto start it with my linux box bootup.
Is there anyone that can compare the perl script with the above application to show the relative merits of each repeater?
