Building Custom SCIII WinVNC

On the development end of things, how extensive are the changes that have been made to the first version of SC to create the winvnc.exe server for SCIII?

Also, are these changes available for people interested in disecting the code to download?

I love the product and would like to make my own ...

Second try

I'm going at this for a second time now. I was never successful in setting up the connection behind a dlink router (linksys yes, but dlink no).

The machine that is running the distributer is being forwarded 443 as well as 5500 and 5901. It is also on the DMZ. At any computer inside of the network ...

Port Forwarding

I've got the distributer running behind a typical home router. What ports need to be forwarded to the computer running the distributer? I've got 443, 5500, and 5901 forwarding already. No firewalls enabled on the machine itself. On the end user end it gets to the point where it's creating the SSL ...

SCIII Status

I've been playing with SCIII for several weeks now and have been unable to find any serious issues with connections between any hosts/servers. In fact, I have yet to come across a situation where it does not work. I'm curious to know what development steps are being taken now? Or if it is safe to ...

Ah HAH!

I noticed that the log from the computer that is getting the error did not include "SSL listener started on port = 443". then I remembered that I had just installed IIS on the server I am setting the distributer up on. Turned off IIS and I had no problems starting the distributer.

Thanks ...

I am actually VNCed in tot he machine that is experiencing the error message when loading the distributer 5 exe. So I changed the connection port and restarted the machine. Still getting the error, but it looks like if I don't click ok to the error message I can still open the log.

socket ...

Thanks for replying so fast. I've tried it on a few machines and I'm getting the same error. I'm looking through my emails to see if I attached it to anything right now though. If all else fails, I know I have a running copy on my work machine.

Thanks again.

distributer5.exe

Is the file located at http://sc.uvnc.com/SCIII/repeaterII/ corrupted? I downloaded it on an XP machine the other day and it ran fine. Trying it out on a few different machines and I'm getting a runtime error "abnormal program termination". Is there an alternate location I can download it from in ...
