Are there any workarounds such as using a different encoding? My friend and I are working on a GUI standalone Java front-end based on the JavaViewer SSL code:

It allows NAT2NAT connections using a Repeater Server. Both Viewer and Server connect to the Repeater, with matching ID's, and the Repeater routes the data.

RFB ERROR: SSL JavaViewer <-> Distributor5.exe <-&g

I have tried using the SSL Javaviewer to connect to SC.exe via the SSL repeater without luck, I get this error:

Error: Unknown RFB rectangle encoding 16

It changes my desktop BG, and connects, but then fails immediately on this.

If I use UltraVNC Server (1.0.1) to reverse-connect (Both to uvnc ...

The parameters are set up strangely.

In order to not use ssl you must OMIT/REMOVE the USESSL and TRUSTALL parameters. Perhaps you can do this via CGI and bind it to a checkbox on the html form.

USESSL=0 still loads ssl. Make sure you disable TRUSTALL as well.

For example: vncviewer HOST ??? PORT ...

Have you tried using the Repeater? Set a repeater up on a public IP, then have them reverse-connect to the repeater specifying an ID, then you connect to the repeater as well, with the same ID. That should bypass the firewalls.
