Also getting same 'vncviewer.exe is not a valid Win32 application.' Tried both 1.2.5.0 bin ZIP archive and the 1.2.5.1 RC download. XP SP3 32 bit.

For me any version after 1.0.8.2 from 7 Dec 09 (as there were various "beta" or "intermediate" releases with the same version number) is either unstable or does not work well as a listener. This includes this "1.0.9.1 stable" release. Issues include

1) Will connect then hang or lose connection

Will give this a go but have had an issue with all the RC releases where when running as a listener it hangs after a short while when it has a remote connection.

We start it from a batch file as follows

psexec.exe /accepteula -d -l vncviewer.exe -quickoption 3 -listen -dotcursor

Well I had this exact problem and editing ultravnc.ini on the server and changing the line to read LocalInputsDisabled=1 fixed it for me.

P.S. Mine was a un/re-install as the previous version was very old and the file is located in the install folder for UltraVNC e.g. in my case ...

Love UltraVNC SC but the new REL1.00 (TEST) version seems to have some bugs. Yes I know it says TEST so bugs are to be expected.

1) It does not wait to connect if the listener is not ready it just exits.
2) No message is displayed saying it is trying to connect.
