topic says it all. is that the point of viewer listen mode? so then the viewer just needs to open a port?
That is correct. Your listener needs to be easily accessible on the internet (if supporting someone over the internet, but if doign it on a LAN, no need for that) so that the server can start ...

UltraVNC repeater under Linux and/or BartPE?
Hello everyone,
I have two questions:
1) Bart (of BartPE fame) mentioned that I now use distributor5.exe running from a BartPE CD as a repeater.
This is running fine, but does not give any feedback and so...
I'm thinking of running the repeater on linux, so I can write a few php pages around it ...

all command exposed are for winvnc and not applicable for SingleClick aka winvncsc
Well, they were found within the winvnc found within the SC executable created online. I just used WinRAR to open the self-extracting archive and then ran strings.exe. So they're in there, but not enabled? Oh well ...

Have you tried "vncviewer -?"
If you try "vncviewer.exe -?" (without quotes, and from the UltraVNC folder) you will get a list of the available switches. Although I have to say that I tried it and it didn't work...it still defaulted to the "Full color" support. :(
