UltraVNC can't run on my K7 XP since 1.2.11

Hi,

I always use UltraVNC as my remote desktop solution, the last stable version on my AMD K7 XP is 1.2.10.

Since I updated it to 1.2.12, the uvnc_settings.exe / vncviewer.exe / winvnc.exe are always crashed.

So I tried different versions, verified that it's just occurred since 1.2.11.

System always asked me to send error reports to somewhere (Microsoft?), but I guess you can never read them.

Finally I tried W2K version of both 1.2.11 and 1.2.12 in the zipped pack, no more crash.


How can I collect the error dumps for you to deal with the crash?

Or should I just stay with 1.2.10 on XP in the future?

I really appreciate for your works, UltraVNC has really helped me a lot for many years, thank you very much!

You can use the w2k version.

Before we used 3 compilers w2k / xp / vista, now we only use 2 compilers the 2008 for w2k and 2013 for all other.
Following MS this compiler can also be used for XP.

The sourcecode (w2k/xp) is the same, but newer compilers optimize better for new cpu's.

You can replace the XP version with the w2k version, same src build with older compiler.
