When imperonation is Off, networks drives are not Visible, this is normal the access to a network drive is only for a specific user.
This is part of the OS security.

Is SC started as the user who is mapping the drive or as an administrator ?
Only the owner has access, in case you start SC as administrator and mapped the drive as user abc it will not work, mapping are restricted to the user who share it.

You can use open a cmd with the same permission as you stared SC and run
net use s: \\nasserver\backup to make the map available for the same user as the one that run SC.

Sorry that's complicated, but that's how the OS is secured, maps are only visible for the user who maps it
