Cursor

Post by GerhardKreuzer »

Hi,

my UltraVNC viewer only shows a very tiny dot as a 'cursor'. Noe I use a Hi-DPI laptop, I managed to get a nice display, everything is good to read but the cursor is as tiny as before. Nearly no chance to find it. I am working in the lab, but later we take the stuff into the fields, so I guess, we can't see anything.

Is the a chance to have a normal cursor?

Thanks for helping.

With best regards

Gerhard

Posible solutions that worked for other

**1)
If you have trouble seeing a mouse cursor on a Windows 10 machine with no mouse attached, you can enable the "mouse control using Numpad keys" feature:

Open start menu.
Click the "Settings" cog
Click the "Ease of Access" menu item
Select "Mouse" in the left pane
Enable "Use numeric pad to move mouse around the screen"
This forces Windows to show a mouse cursor even with no physical mouse attached thus making your VNC life much easier.

**2)
if I enable mouse pointer trails on the the windows machine i get a usable cursor
