SCWIZ (Wizard) easy setup.

Post by Dwalf »

***PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A DEVELOPMENT RELEASE (its still been built)***

UltraVNC SCWIZ (Wizard)

Hi am re-doing my SCCC app and porting it to a new app called SCWIZ
This release is still a development release and not even Altha or Beta.
The result will created the files in a folder called SCWIZ on your desktop. Note when making it will atempt to delete this folder when the wiz is run.
Also included in the SCWIZ folder is html doc if you dont know how to make one.

Feautures:

1. Automatic Detection of your WAN IP.
2. Automatic testing if portforwarding is setup correctly.

What releases:

1. SC Direct System RC23
2. SC Direct System REL1.0

4. SC Offline ZIP Compiler RC1.0 (Compile your own)
5. SC Manual (Client and Support enter their settings on the app)

7. SCCMD (Run a cmd command when sc starts)
8. SCEXE (Run a exe file of your choice from inside a SC)
9. SCIII SSL (Can use uvnc.com:443 and Enter ID)

Image

More about SCCHAT
1. Runs on portforwarding using the same port for chat and SC [DIRECT] System.
2. Now you can open a chat window before you start your remote session
3. The chat can Kick pesky clients
4. The chat has a remote button to start the session.
5. A remote timer is shown in on the client for timekeeping.
6. When the session is disconnected a email with the remote time session and a mini inventory is emailed to you (Part of the setup from the wiz)

Bugs:
1. Its still a development app
2. Error message on client when trying to chat while a session is busy.
3. Seldom a message does not show in chat or you have to click button again to get session started.
4. Erros if email settings where setup wrong.
5. Tray Icons not closing untill mouse moved over icons.
6. In need of some seriously nice interface and pictures, icons.
7. Yes Spelling Mistakes. (You dont need to tell me it is a Development release)

Legal:
Use at own risk. The author, developer and other take no responsablity for this software in any way or form or any damages that may arise in any way or form. This software is for education purpuse only.
The software is freeware and all source scripts is included including ultravnc.

Installation:
This application relies on 7ZIP and UltraVNC
Please insure you have both installed.
The 7ZIP release included in the wizard seems the best to use.
All images can be changed in the Programs Folder for SCWiz. I would prefer it if you do change them to suite your self or company. Looks better and more professional. Especialy the Client Chat one replace with your own logo.(Just edit it in ms-paint.)

To Do:
1. Static RC23 (EXE and ZIP)
2. Static REL1.0 (EXE and ZIP)
3. SCIII SSL DIRECT
4. SCIII SSL TALK ADD (Uses MS-SAM to anounce SC will start on client)
5. SCLAN (Lan Only)

Testing:
So far i have only tested on Windows XP machines on diffrent WANS with good results.

Why SCChat:
I built the wizard to make setups easy. Its not pa perfect setup but it helps alot. I decided to build SCChat to overcome a few common q&a.
1. Easy to setup. (The only tricky part is setting up port forwading, thus i included a port test to see if the router was setup right, if not it informs you and atempts to open the router gateway in IE.
2. Working in a support company before i have see some clown open the SC and all the engineers with big ? on their faces, Who is it? Thus you now can chat before hand so no phone calls needed from clients and a KICK button included to kick jokers.
3. Time and billing. I included a timmer, my boss was always on my back. your on the machine to long, Now you can see the total time. Dont count the hours minutes and seconds as they are as Total for each.
4. Email Report. And if you like me how forgets to write down the time, no worries, you get a email about the session when the sessons closes with inventory. The sales guys in the office love this stuff. This will alow you to see when a computer is just about in need of replacement.
And the information collect is a blue print of a computer, cant hide and say this computer was never worked on.

I have 7-zip 4.32 installed. I go through the install fine
When I tried to run the newly created files I get an unspecified error.
any ideas?? could it be because of the version difference of 7-zip?? you have 4.26 in this scwiz install. :( Let me know. Thanks :)

Try again, the files are on a free host and sometimes it does now work.
I will have a look at getting it on another host.

Updated:

1. SCCMD runs any Dos or Windows Command when SC starts on pc
2. SCEXE adds any EXE of your choice to the SC.EXE and runs it when SC starts.
3. Fixed some icons and webpages.

Still need to fix the DIRECT so you can select the port you desire. on 5500 now.

Tommorrow looking at SC Wizard Windows, make nice.

Version number or release date

Post by switch »

Dwarf, can you put a version number on your app? Or date of issue, so that I know I have the latest release.

Thanks and keep up the good work!

SCWIZ (Wizard) enhancement request

Post by RWilkes »

At the Viewer (Using manual connect):
1. Increase the dialog slightly and add:
a. The LAN address
b. The WAN address
That way I have, right in front of me, the current addresses so I can give them to the remote user to enter in the SC program.
(As I'm using DSL, my external IP address changes...if the viewer program got the current info and displayed it, it would save me the step of using whatismyip to get the address.)

2. Add some sort of indicator to the viewer to indicate that it's receiving a connect request, so I know when to click 'Connect'.

Thanks for a great product!

Problem using no-ip

Post by punkmexic »

when the wizard says
DETECTED NETWORK SETTINGS
IN WAN /TCP IT FINDS MY IP..BUT I WANT TO PUT THERE
punkmexico.servemp3.com

instead of that
bellow of the lan /tcp dialog
everything says echo est not acctivated.

when i leave my normal ip in the settings everything works good
but if i use punkmexico.servemp3.com
then its not good
i think the port that no-ip uses is 80
so i also put punkmexico.servemp3.com:80
and doesnt work

It was not built like that. Basicly it creates a listener on the IP and then makes a connection to it via wan IP it detected. When its done it closes it.
Not to sure ...

if you not getting a connection its then blocked by your router.
Use this http://www.canyouseeme.org to check if the port 5500 or one you selected is open to your computer.

I'm pretty sure it's because the stub, 7zSD.exe - the copy that comes with SCWIZ - is not the same version as the version of 7-Zip you have installed. I've just downloaded 7-Zip 4.42 and am atempting to find the 7zSD version that goes with it... 4.42 is the latest version on sourceforge.

OK, got it working!

Make sure you have 7z.exe and 7zSD.sfx. Both files must be the same version (I recommend downloading the latest version of each file).

Then copy both files into the appropriate places under the SCWIZ install directory. There are about 9 or 10 copies of each file - make sure you replace all of them. (Can that be changed? There should be, at most, one copy of 7z.exe and 7zSD.sfx in the SCWIZ package. Better yet, allow the user to use his already-installed copy of 7-Zip.)

I downloaded the newest 7zip from 7zip.org (4.42) but when i try to decompress the sc.exe file i get a 7zip unspecified error.
On both the computer I compiled it on and the the test/client computer.

Another question:
How do i integrate the custom.zip your tool? From this site: http://www.uvnc.com/addons/singleclick.html With

I got stuck at compiling creating my SC files..... Going the route they detail on their website.

7.) Open the UltraVNC SC Creator tool
their link: <http://sc.uvnc.com/index.php?section=19>
and login:
Userid: foo
Password:foobar

This link leads me back to the front page <http://www.uvnc.com/index.html> :/

But your compiler is sweet!!! Thanks for creating it.

Any help on getting my own custom files integrated with your compiler
(so I can set this up to hook back to my teams names/IP's)
Or any ideas as to why i would be getting a unspecified error upon un-zip.
Or if anyone has the live link to the "The UltraVNC SC Creator tool"

any ideas or answers to all!! :p would rock

Getting SSL to work

Post by kckvnc »

This little app is great! But I some help with using SSL. I've selected the "SCIII SSL" release version option but when I launch the the support PC exe I get the following message on the support PC:

"Proxy Connection Failed - Error reading Protocol version
Possible causes:
- You've forgotten to select a DSMPlugin and the server uses a DSMPlugin
- Viewer and Server are not compatible
- Bad connection"

On the support PC I've confirmed the port 443 is open and functions correctly. The session fails both on local lan (no firewalls) and on the net(port 443 open).

Is there any other configuration that needs to be done with the SCwizard?
Do I need to setup my own proxy server or can I use the default "uvnc.com"? The wizard says connection to uvnc.com is successfull.
If I need to use my own proxy what exactly needs to be setup?
Is the configuration of the DSMPlugin handled by the wizard?

it is possible make support.exe check if gatway allow using upnp to open router port 5500 ? so there is no need to do port forwarding ? if that feature available, it will be awsome... i love this tool...

Error: There is no Support System Available online.

Post by somar419 »

Hello,
First off, great product you've created here. I've been using single click for a few months now and for the most part, it works great. But since day 1, I've not been able to get scchat to work (most of the others work quite well). Keep getting this error message; "Error: There is no Support System Available Online." I am able to create the client and support exe's, when I iniciate the connection, I am able to type in client info, but when I click "continue", I get the error message. I am able to reach the support PC. Listening port was left on the default port (5500). Port 5500 is open and activly listening. Also tried doing the same on a different port(5501), still No Go. Any sugestions would be appreciated. Thanx in advance.

its the same thing with requests i asked somar419......looks like the forum is dead. in other forums they response in a few minutes. perhaps the good wether

I HAVE A QUESTION TO DWALF:

can u plz integrate a feature, so that it supports dynamicIPs ???
i have a dyndns-name and my ftp-server for example i use on this way. so my friends can connect any time without getting my new ip all time. it would be very great if ur sc solution could do the same, so i must not compile a new exe all time my ip changes.

is it possible?? is it to hard to do???

you do not have to change the ip address. Just insert the www.yourdomain.com instead of the ip address when compiling.

It worked; and, much better then UVNC's methods.
Couple of questions though:
1) The helpdesk.txt file; where is your wizard pulling or creating it from. The reason I ask, is that with the settings that are in it, they will confuse those I work with/support. (The word 'dubble' doesn't help either.) Anyway, I took a copy of my edits in notepad, and pasted it into every instance of helpdesk I could find in the folders within your wizard app. Still no changes; the results in the zipped helpdesk file found in the resulting apps (sc and support) still have the original content, except for the IP and port info the wizard asks for.
2) Is there a way we can choose a name for the resulting apps, instead of sc and support?
3) Is there a way to make the sc.exe file that is downloaded and used on the remote maching, delete itself after use, like is done in the original UVNC?

*You're right, the only zip app that seems to work correctly is the one you ship with the package. Why? Don't know. Winrar doesn't work; though I wish it would.

Thanks for all the hard work!

Source code is provided (au3 files - autoit scripts :) )... if you want to change the resulting apps ... do a search for the appname.exe ... and change ... compile ... and your there
