The password in a .vnc file must be encrypted at the moment, but I would welcome an alternative way for vncviewer to use a clear password similar to the commandline option.
Background:
I am writing an intranet Web Portal that should allow single-click connections to many VNC hosts via server/database-provided passwords. Because it is a web application, the preferred way of doing this is by downloading a generated .vnc file and have a browser association with VNC viewer. Obviously it is not possible to use the commandline options in this case.
So i have to either generate the encrypted password on the server side via a PHP script (have not found anything suitable so far) or find a way to specify an unencrypted password in the .vnc file.
Any ideas?
