seams interesting ... but there is no source code available at http://sourceforge.net/projects/realvncproxy/develop ... so is it actually open source ???

if it is open source, would you mind pointing us towards the source code, so that we can have a look and help out if we can ...

but it is OH-SO-SIMPLE to use ... i LOVE the simplicity ...

Hello,

The GPL version of VNCproxy is on the way... It should be available very soon.
Keep on watching on sourceforge.

awesome ... nice work ... if you need an alpha tester ... just let me know ... i know little about java, but have good testing and debugging skills ... can't wait to see this happening ...

is there any way to pass the SID and / or password using post or get ??? or by setting it in the parameters of the object call (EG through PHP or ASP)

this would be an awesome feature ...

it is interesting how you use java to wrap the tight vnc server/viewer app ... if i am reading your jar file correctly, you have included the java source in there with the compiled class files ... is this correct ???

Hello Jdaus,

Yes the current beta source code is in the current applet.
But I'm currently working on a cleaner GPL version (including javadoc checkstyle etc ...) that will be available at sourceforge soon.

Regarding passing the SID automatically to the Viewer should be possible.
But the password need to be entered manually in the TighVNC interface, this is out of the scope of the VNCProxy Java Tunnel.

I might need testers soon. I will let you knox. Thanks for your proposition.

Regards.

I know this thread's a few months old, but it's about the only discussion I found on VNCProxy.com

Thanks to supercoe at [post=67800][/post] I see that there is source code up, at a different URL, for what appears to be the entirety of the "hub" Java server/viewer at www.vncproxy.com

http://sourceforge.net/projects/vnc-proxy/files/

It's GPL3 by Rémi Serrano, uploaded 12/24/2009. Looks like you just need a web server with Apache Tomcat.

I haven't tried using it yet, but if it's legitimate and effective it could be the answer to a LOT of people's searching. Any thoughts? Drawbacks? Has anyone reviewed this or used it successfully?

Thanks Rémi. I finally tried it (choosing "experimental" Java to Java, from Mac to PC), and am very impressed that it actually works!

I couldn't get it to deliver a Ctrl-Alt-Del to a Vista box, and everything was a bit slow (using your free repeater, which I imagine is far from me), but those are quibbles. I think this is <b>great</b> work.

By the way, using http://vncproxy.com (without the www) goes to website-alert.com. I'm not sure if that's what you want...
