File Transfer

Post by prandal »

If file transfer is disabled on the server, then the file transfer button (and menu item) in VNCViewer should be grayed out.

Does not the server report its capabilities when the viewer connects?

The confusing message when you try is a pain in the neck, because you don't know without looking elsewhere whether it is a permission-denied or version conflict problem.

You are right. We could test the FT persmission on viewer connection, without having to open the FT window...

Anyway, the result will not be more detailed: FT Button Enabled or Disabled whatever the reason (FT disbled on server or Version incompatibility)
