My (Italian) guide for Windows and Linux single-click issues

This forum is for VNC related products | This means not only UltraVNC | It even is allowed to announce or describe commercial (and of course non-commercial) programs here (but not anywhere else in the forum)

My (Italian) guide for Windows and Linux single-click issues

Post by zanonmark »

HI all,

I'd like to let you know that I wrote and just upgraded a guide (currently in Italian) trying to document most of the "remote help" issues:
* creating a single-click Windows executable (with UltraVNC-SC) providing plain and ssl connections;
* creating a single-click Linux script (with x11vnc and single_click_remote_help, developed by me) providing plain and ssl connections;
* setting up a perl repeater on a (Linux) server (with mz_ultravnc_repeater.pl, my fork of Karl Runge's ultravnc_repeater.pl);
* configuring viewers for Windows (mostly UltraVNC);
* configuring viewers for Linux (mostly SSVNC).

The guide is available here: http://www.marcozanon.com/documenti/ass ... pen-source (I'm sorry for the Italian-only version, but I currently have no time to translate it - maybe in the future?).

Thanks to the open source community - and to this forum too - for providing most of the basic tools which made this possible.

Hi Rudi,

thanks for asking; of course you can copy that on your website if you want (just add a link to the original too, please),

I suppose you want to publish your version based on Google Translate or similar: I checked the Italian->English translation yesterday and it's not bad at all (there are only some adverbs and adjectives which need to be better positioned in the sentence).
If I find some time, I will publish an official translation.

Thanks,

Marco
