Jorge Jimenez wrote:Thanks Marius,
I download Racfree and unzip on a new directory, run and here is where a window pops asking for a web (URL)...do I have to have one, or answer....at this, why is it for..?
thanks for your time and consideration,
Jorge.
I doubt you will see it again :)
The first TWO popups is your name (that you enter), the second the url IF you have one...otherwise just leave blank. If you entered a URL that was a boobie, or you entered something ELSE in as url, just delete the complete "BIN" directory (you will loose all your settings) and start RAC again WITHOUT entering anything in the url-section. Basically, the url only "shows" in the "clients-side"...so that IF you have a homepage, the client can then just click on the url and they will be taken to your homepage. The popups will ONLY be there ONCE (when you run RAC for the first time, OR if you click on "registered to (bottom left)", it will also pop up and can you make changes if you typed something in wrong or whatever...

Bro...My program does NOT use an installer. It is in ZIP format (unless you have a VERY old RAC)

proximityinfotech3 wrote:you should look at my scprompt 2009 post in this forum, it has a way of using just 7zip to setup the SFX ... that way your not depending on starting the "makesfx.exe" and writing to its UI (a little messy in my opinion). just a thought.
I think you got the OLD RAC mixed up with the current version...that has changed about a YEAR ago!!!
Here are TWO versions...a FREEWARE version...and a RETAIL version :)
Here is the correct link to the CURRENT RAC

If there are any changes you folks would like to be added or removed that can "better" RAC, please email me on --->
rhood@webafrica.org.za

PS: SIZE will be taken into consideration as we dont want RAC to be a HUGE file...

Latest Update 25 Mar 2012
1) Fix unnecessarily popup on client side
2) You can now click on "Donator's Name" and leave it BLANK...It will then automatically delete your homepage-URL that shows on your customer's/friend's PC ( if you previously added a URL, but couldn't get it to disappear if you didn't want it...

Ok guys....I have decided to upload my 50-port RAC version ( including a LOT more features than the current 1-port ) for FREE!. I just need to go through some settings 'n stuff to make sure it still works 100%, as i haven't given the RAC 50-port decent attention these couple of years, so please bare with me. As soon as it's up, I'll mention it here....so WATCH THE SPACE!!! :D

As promised...Here is the FULL "Remote Access Control" PRO-version. Please note that although it still has the OLD "viewer" 1.0.9.5, you can just replace it with your newer one located in the \bin directory...I shall replace this with the latest STABLE viewer in due course...
Enjoy :)

IF YOUR SHORTCUT DOESNT WORK, PLEASE CHANGE RAC_FULL.EXE TO RAC.EXE ( fixed in latet update! 4 Sept 2012 )
PS: (Small "bug" in 7z...attending to error...PRO version only)

Hi Admin...I have made Remote Access Control "Pro"-version into a fully blown FREEWARE plugin/helper program. Could you maybe move it to the section viewforum.php?f=62 ?

The Original thread is located here ---> viewtopic.php?t=14956

Thanks a bunch
