So, I was wondering, how difficult would it be to add an option to the server that would take the entire display (2 monitors, 3, whatever) and serve them as a single display?
By this, I do mean that the client would then see a super-wide display, and many people reading this might not get the reason why...
I imagine it might not be totally feasable unless the server setup is such that the monitors are aligned and the same resolution...
My coworkers and I all have this sort of display setup, and use mobile clients to connect quite often.... the mobile client COULD be made to be able to toggle between displays, however, this would be cumbersome and usually all we need is to be able to view at a glance the contents of both monitors. If they were served as one logical single wide display, that would be the greatest thing ever. Usually by the time we need to connect, we haven't had the forethought to switch our server displays to one monitor only.
Crazy? Can it be done now and I just haven't been able to figure it out?
Thanks,
iluomo

Re: Multiple Monitors Feature suggestion
Ok, but this doesn't really address what I was saying..
What I'm suggesting is that the SERVER be able to serve both screens as a SINGLE, wide display.
We are wanting to use a particular client that only views one display at a time, but use it to view BOTH displays at once. It may sound crazy but there are people that would indeed pay for this SERVER feature if it were available.
Thanks,
iluomo

This must be the most impressive bump I've ever seen. Over 3 years later and by the original author!
And to be on topic...I would also benefit from such a feature as almost everyone at my company has multiple monitors, and this would make interaction with them much quicker and more seamless.

Re: Multiple Monitors Feature suggestion
It already does
If you select viewer (directx mode) and server prim+sec screen, both are transmitted as a single big display.
This has been is uvnc for years

I don't use DirectX mode, but it sounds like I should start.
