Viewer Crashes When Windows Live Mail Is Running

Post by AYColumbia »

Today I discovered a new issue. I had run into this in the past, but wasn't sure what was causing it until today. The VNCViewer crashes if loaded when Windows Live Mail is running. Once I close WLM, then the viewer works fine. I'm talking about having WLM on the same computer where the viewer is launched and NOT the server I'm connecting to.

The WLM version I'm running is: Version 2012 (Build 16.4.3505.0912)

I'm on Windows 8 Pro version 6.2 (Build 9200).

Anyone else experiencing this issue?

Strange indeed. It seems to only happen during the WLM start up and when it's checking for email. The crash happens AFTER the password is entered and the connection is attempted and in some instances after the viewer connected.

In a few cases, I lose the mouse pointer except over the area of the screen where the above dialog is displayed. So if I move the mouse pointer within the borders of the dialog, then I see it and can click the buttons. I have to use the mouse because, for whatever reason, I can't get the focus via the keyboard.
