crashes on send file

Post by yythoss »

I installed PcHelpWare V2 on 4 Windows Xp Professional PC's and on every PC the fieltransfer crashed. I start the desktop session and then I start the chat program. I put the file (4MB) on the chat windows and press the send button. The filetransfer start up, but every time the chat programm chrashed on every windows xp pc. Is this a problem from windows xp, or from PcHelpWare V2?

Can you help me?

Run the Server side as Administrator and only use Send File and not Send Fast.
There are other things that do not work if the Server Side is not running as Administrator.

All XP maschines has user accounts with administrator rights, so the server is running as administrator. I have tested Send File and Send Fast.

Having the use accounts with administrator rights is not he same as "run as Administrator". You need to run the Server side in "run as Administrator" mode. You do this by changing the credentials for the shortcut that points to your SC on the Server machine, and clicking here to choose "Administrator". If you have entered a password for the hidden Administrator account then you will have to enter it each time you run the SC Server side.
