Connection Dropped

Post by ultrinn »

When connection to certain VNC servers (1.0.8.x and above) from home, I get the message that the Connection was Dropped, reconnecting. It never stops doing this. If I connect to the same servers from the domain at work, they work correctly.

I have had this problem with viewers 1.0.8.x and above. Server version 1.0.2.x works correctly.

I happens on both wired and wireless connections. The log shows that I am connected then immediately disconnected.

I am using both server and client version 1.1.8 now and have the same problem.

What's the exact version of the server and viewer ?

We are trying to fix this issue, but it seems that it only happen in certain situations.
To be able to correct fix it, we should be able to repeat it on our own dev pc's to actual see
what the server or viewer is doing internal.

1) If you use another vnc flavor viewer (tigth/real) do you also get disconnected ?
2) Using a fixed encoder ( not the auto mode) you still disconnect ?

Thnks
