UltraVNC Viewer 1.0.9.6.1 Ctl-Alt-Del/Ctrl-Alt-F4 aren't wor

Post by msamash »

I have been using this version of UltraVNC for some time and on a single machine that I'm connecting when I click on the Ctrl-Alt-Del icon, right click on the Menu and go to Keyboard > Send Ctrl-Alt-Del or press the Ctlr-Alt-F4 buttons, I'm still sitting on the Windows login screen. I can remote desktop to the computer, but not vnc. I did an uninstall and a re-install on the workstations and reset the password for access. I have checked the Connection options and the View Only box is not checked.

Any ideas why I can't properly connect on this workstation. The machine is running Windows XP Pro SP3.

I'm getting conflicting descriptions of the problem...

You CAN connect to this computer via VNC, and the only problem is you cannot send a CTRL+ALT+DEL?

Is uVNC running as a service and have you enabled SAS on the WinXP computer?

Strange, normal for XP no special settings need to be made.
You only need to run winvnc.exe as service

Right...SAS not needed for XP.

Just confirm it's running as a service as that is not specified in the original post.
