disconnect profile switch

Post by datnodud »

I am using ultra vnc viewer 1.1.9.6 on win7 pro 64bit connecting to machine that is aslo win7 pro 64bit which has winvnc server 1.0.8.2. When logging off to switch profiles, vnc closes. I saw on another thread

"The vnc service restart the server when the console session change.
On the viewer site this cause a connection drop and a auto reconnect.

Cause:
From Vista>= multiple isolated sessions are used.
Vnc need to be running in the active session -> restarted by service"

My question is there a way to stop the service from stopping when switching users? The same version worked fine on windows xp, but since I have updated to windows 7 this problem started

Thank You.

No, that's the goal of the service. Make sure the console session is shared.

To avoid this you can run winvnc.exe as application, then vnc is restricted to his start session.
