Image quality with "scale to window" enabled

Post by virtualpaul »

What are the settings I can use to make the image quality better when using "scale to windows".

I only use uvnc in fullscreen when I connect to my desktop (resolution 1920x1080) from my laptop (resolution ~1600x1200).

The text is very difficult to read sometimes.

I tried the auto settings and a few other options but I get similar image quality.

Using fit to screen, the image is resized 1920 is shrinked to 1600 and 1080 stretched to 1200.
The bad quality is caused by this image deformatoin.

-Try set the size to 80% instead of fit to screen, keeping ascpet ratio give better quality.
-You can also use 1/1 and fullscreen, then the screen autoscroll on the edges
-Try to temp switch the server resolution

Thanks!
I tried the size to ~80% to fit the screen and it's ok now. I only have a black area on the right but it's not a big deal. :D
