ultravnc sc with ssl explorer

Hi,

Has anybody had any luck using SingleClick through SSL Explorer http://sourceforge.net/projects/sslexplorer/

Has been scratching my head on the above, as SSL Explorer Proxy every connections. it will alway loopback the SC connections , SSL Explorer doesn't have a reverse Tunnel functions if not life would have been easier .


Any idea's how I can tackle this ?

I have a SSL-VPN setup using UltraVNC Single Click. It works through port 443 which gives you encryption for free. Check out SSL-Explorer (free / gpl) here:

and you have to create an app for UltraVNC SC. It only took me about 30 minutes to get everything configured. I could send you my "app" after you get your SSL-Explorer configured. Here's how I set it up...

SSL-Explorer forwards a local port (custerom's local port 5500) to my computer using SSL (443) via SSL-Explorer. My SSL server can forward that connection to any computer predefined in the tunnel on the local network. However, I wanted to be able to connect anyone in the world to anyone else in the world. This was a little more complicated. I setup SSL-Explorer to take port 5500 from the local host (local host being the customer's machine) to a UltraVNC Repeater. The repeater requires a session ID, so I set SC to prompt for that. So, the Client (customer) -> server (repeater) using port 443 is completed. Now, I need the viewer -> repeater connection. This was easy. I have setup a login in ssl-explorer to forward port 5900 on the local (viewer) pc to the SSL-Explorer server, which connects it to the repeater. In the viewer, you specify "Use Proxy / Repeater: 127.0.0.1:5900" and for the VNC server: you put in this: "ID:####" where #### is the number that the customer specified (or will specify) as the session ID.

Overall it works great. I could probably do a whole writeup on how to configure it, but I'd rather you just ask questions and I give you answers, and someone else writes it up. First step though is getting SSL-Explorer setup. I have successfully used this through many different customer's firewalls, nats, etc... in most cases, it's easier to use and faster than WebEx.
