SC and UltraVNC sever

Post by fettouhi »

hey people

I'm new to VNC and I have tryed to install vnc server on a win2003 system and made a SC exe file for people to DL but I cant get the VNCserver to register a connection. the ip is corect and all. if I open the vncviwer in silent mode and use the exe file from a PC it works fine. I can even get it to work on a system that only has the viwer installed. but not the server. I have follow the guides and set it up as recommended. atm I'm not using encryption so it cant be that.

the symtoms I see is that the mashine copnnection to the server connect and the wallpaper is removed but then it disconnect and turns off the exe file. what am I doing wrong ???

thanks

Do you use a non-standard mouse cursor on the remote machine? There is a bug in uvnc sc that causes the connection to drop right after the connect when the machine you are remotely using uses a 3D-mouse cursor. Try to set it back to the standard mouse cursor and try again. If connection still drops there must be an other reason.
