monitor (screen) replicating vnc program

hi there,

I'm looking for a vnc version that I once saw on the net and which was able to replicate the screen of one pc and show it to 16 others, ideal for giving lessons and so on.

I mean, when the teacher show something on his computer, all students can see what he is doing on their own monitor ...

hey thanks for the workarounds but is it so difficult to just make an instance of vnc listen on port 5500 in suse kde? I thought it couldn't be that hard... :-(

SUSE 10 - listening vnc server

hi there,

I installed suse 10 recently with kde as an xwindow system. I'm using vnc SC quite often and I'm really pleased with it. But now I have a problem:

I would like to have a vnc instance running on my suse linux machine so if anyone needs help, I can takeover their desktop on that machine ...

well, I couldn't figure out the encryption, I'll get back to that later. Without encryption it works fine, locally.

But I think I have a more severe problem here. I'm connected with several windows and linux pc's through a linux firewall (Clarkconnect) to the internet. I hope there is a way to use ...

wow, it is not that difficult:

I already managed to set up the executable to use with ultravnc. It works but only one error remains:

the plugin cannot be loaded.
Please check its name integrity.

I guess it has something to do with the encryption key. I will look into that right now.
