White window and windows start menu not displayed correctly

Hi all,

when using UltraVNC in the setup below, I am experiencing the following:
(1) The windows start menu resolution is compromised and the links are not working properly (you can click where they were supposed to be to open the programs). Similar issues are reported here with a picture shown:
(2) The program "Software Center" of Windows is show as a white / blank window (only the title bar is displayed).

Other users online report similar issues for other VNCs (https://community.logmein.com/t5/Pro-Di ... 157/page/2), but I could not find anything on UltraVNC. It seems that to be related to the closed lid / not connected monitor.

Since I don´t have physical access to the laptop at the moment I could not test if the same happens with the lid open.

Win 10 Enterprise Version: 19044.2130
11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-1145G7 @ 2.60GHz 2.61 GHz

Server:
Win 10 Enterprise Version: 21H2
11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-11850H @ 2.50GHz 2.50 GHz
Laptop lid closed & no external monitor connected

Vnc or logmein actual clone the current desktop, if a new update disable the video card when no monitor is connected then you can't capture anything.

If you are using a UltraVNC viewer and the UltraVNC server.
Also install the virtaul monitor driver, then UltraVNC can simulate an extra monitor, disable the real monitor. It's like you plugin an extra monitor.

Possible you can workarounf by adding a fake monitor and disabling the local one in the viewer settings

It seems that I missed to install the virtual monitor driver on the UltraVNC Server. The problem seems to be solved now.
