Configuration with Microsoft Intune deployment

Post by keith_andrews »

I've been able to add the .msi file for the UVNC app to our Intune account, and the program is installed during the enrollment process. However, certain things do not get applied through this silent process, such as allowing the VNCViewer.exe program through Windows Defender Firewall, or port 5900. I know this is configured during the normal installation process using the .exe, so is there something we can do to configure the installation process with Intune, so we don't have to manually allow the VNCViewer.exe and port 5900 through Windows Defender Firewall? Thanks in advance!

Disregard. I'm going to push out a group policy for Windows Firewall to open inbound port 5900 on the domain network. This appears to be the only thing needed to gain remote access to the workstations.
