UltraVCN for [SPAM] 9500 (symbian OS)

Post by sonybuff »

It would be more than fantastic if a port to smartphone would be made. Since [SPAM] 9500 Communicator is probably the best and most advanced smartphone on th market at this time and its symbian OS seems to be well and growing perhaps a port to that phone could be made.
Wonder if that would be possible in the near future.

a port to symbian??? It will probably take ages to convert such a big win32 application like ultravnc is to symbian. If ultravnc even lacks a linux port why should somebody even care about symbian?
BTW There are already some vnc clients for symbian: you could try asking to those applications developer to support [SPAM] 9500.

I have been using Mochasoft.dk's vnc client on 9500.
Works fine, if i take direct connection to pc.

But is there by any chance to get it work with repeater 1.2 ?

afaik, connection through a repeater needs ID, but i suppose ID is not possible to set with mochasoft's vnc (i know it's not a ultravnc product, but maybe someone has experiences from it)

Like [SPAM] 9500 + mochasoft's vnc -> repeater 1.2 <- pc running sc
