AESV2Plugin.dsm password length issues?

Post by TheTester »

It seems that when I use this plug-in, the length of the password is limited to 8 characters. If I use a password longer or shorter than this, I get the "Connection Failed - Invalid Protocol" error.

I'm using Windows XP Pro with minimal services running, and the most recent version of UltraVNC (rc 20.5).

Anyone else getting this? Is there something I'm overlooking?

Thanks!

Is not limitation of dsmplugin but limitation of UltraVNC based on VNC 3.3.6
fo bypass this issue, use UltraVNC MS-Logon authentication
and activate New MS-Logon II only if you use Active Directory

network: lan 100 Mbit/s <--> wlan 802.11g WPA-PSK TKIP
OS: xp sp2 pro us <---> xp sp2 home fr
viewer: 18.06.2005 <---> winvnc 17.06.2005
dsmplugin: AESV2plugin.dsm beta 002

test MS-Logon I normal or inverse
dos'ent work, and ask only password without user
(can't test with MS-Logon II because XP Home)
