Recorded VNC session

Post by JeramieHicks »

We love UltraVNC at the school where I work. However, a fairly small feature would enhance our usage of VNC incredibly... the ability to capture a VNC session to a file, for playback later.

Fairly simple really:

1) A button on the VNC Viewer toolbar to start recording
2) When pressed, VNC immediately dumps the full current screenshot to a file named with the remote IP and datetime stamp.
3) Every packet that arrives afterwards, append it to the file.
4) Done when the record button is pressed again.

For playback, just have a section on the VNC Viewer startup dialog that has a browse button to play the file. Don't need any VCR controls or anything fancy (at least for us).
