SC mode plugin unable to locate key file

Post by Dago »

Hey guys,

I'm new to this forum but not exactly new to UltraVNC. Have used it for some time now and just now stumbled upon the SC. Great stuff! Just what I've been looking for. Makes life alot easier when working with laymen who have no idea what to do or just plain do their own thing when you ask them to do something on their PC!

All that said, I like the document put together with the steps for setting up the SC. Is the author going to update the english or would he mind if someone corrected it for him?

Have the SC working just fine without the plugin, but when I set up with a plugin I get this:

"Error! The plugin was unable to locate the key file. Please ensure that the registry entry is properly set and that the key file exists.
C:\Program Files\ORL\VNC\rc4.key"

This error shows up on the client's PC first and then on the server PC. Have double-checked my settings and can't put my finger on a solution. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Dago

For SC use the no_reg_dsm plugins.

no_reg: key is loadad from the dll directory.

Only way you can add the key to the sc.exe (archive)

Thanks for the reply.

Was an error on my part. Had to rename the key from the "new" name designation in order for this to work. Works great now!
