Java Viewer jar file

Post by wfaulk »

It'd be nice if the installation automatically compiled the Java Viewer into a jar file. It's not really difficult. Basically, create a manifest file (say "manifest.txt") that contains a single line: "Main-Class: VncViewer", then just run "jar cmf manifest.txt VncViewer.jar *.class". Then you can start the java viewer by just typing "java -jar VncViewer.jar HOST hostname PORT 5900" and not worry about the classpath folderol.

A GUI interface to enter the HOST and PORT values would be nice, too.
