ULTRA VNC will not work

I just downloaded ultra VNC and i copied and pasted the MSRC4Plugin.dsm and MSRC4Plugin_NoReg.dsm files into the ultravnc directory and I still get this error when I run the viewer (listen mode)

Connection failed - Invalid protocol!

So I open up VNC viewer connection and check use DSMplugin and I select the NOREG file and configure it, made a key file, renamed it. I also made sure that the set these connection settings as default was checked.

So I do all that and run the viewer in listen mode and get the same damn error. After that I opened VNC viewer connection again and the DSM plugin has changed, and is NO LONGER CHECKED!!!!! WTF! No matter how many times I try it will not save my settings and I get that same damn error over and over and over.

This program wont work.


I really dont understand this. I had another computer about 3 weeks ago that I installed this program on, and I didnt need those damn DSM plugin files, it worked without them. Now I have a new computer (im a tech guy trying to get this remote to work) and it doesnt work on this computer. I know I didnt have to configure anything with the other computer. I just installed it, opened up the listener and had the person click on our service file and connect to my machine, it connected right away and worked with 0 errors.

Why wont this work. Do I need microsoft .net framework?

I had a similiar problem I finally got mine to work. Seems like they are one in the same.
