Remote Support

Post by jonathanb »

I am looking at offering remote support to clients and I was on the lookout for some software like webex(not that I like it). I want the functionality to be able to conect there machines even if their behind a firewall. I looked at PcHelpWare and was really interested in the software as it seems it will do everything I want.

The main problem I have is the I want to be able to install the server on people machines and enable the to be able hide it. Maybe as a service or something like that. Is that possible.

As a feature suggestion would be nice if you can create servers that would connect to a website and update the webby to say they are loged on and able to connect to. Then you just click on that person and it fires up you client and it connects.

Thanks for you help in advanced.

it is good thought has been suggested before but mostly likely pchelpware as a service might not happen?? Maybe somethings will change in version 2 but not sure utlravnc needs to be completed first..:)

what you need is logmein.com
it does that. it installes as a service, it has a webpage where you can see who is online, and they have free accounts, with limited features.

Well I can't program so I can't really do more than what is already listed in the help. I am just going to setup my own repeater and stuff.

The standard repeater instructions will work for pchelpware it just has some more added features

can use 3 ports instead of 2

Tip: Do not mess with the dynalias ports or options they are extremely buggy and i would restart your repeater daily ..:)
