multiple pcHelpware sessions?

Post by GF »

I've been using pcHelpware in Direct Connect mode, but find sometimes I may have to connect to two different people at the same time. Is this possible with the use of the "Repeater"

am I on the right track with this? I want have 3-4 computers behind a firewall/NAT all being able to run the pcHelpware viewer to connect to multiple remote servers at the same time. One of the PC's will be dedicated as the pcHelpware Repeater (call this 192.168.0.2).

can the repeater and a viewer run on the same PC? or does the repeater have to be dedicated to its own PC. I don't want to use a "public" repeater.

Do I forward ports Ports 5901 and 5500 from the NAT/Firewall to the Repeater machine (192.168.0.2)?

Do I have to make a special self-extracting version of pcHelpware for direct access and repeater? Do I have to give the person connecting to me a unique ID code? is this any number I create?

thanks for any help!
