Is it safe to use the SC online creator ?

Is it safe to upload my zipped archive with my open port number, my encryption key etc. to the SC Online Creator ? I guess someone can spy on my data stream and get a backdoor to my system. Wouldn't it be better to have an offline tool to create the .exe ?
