DSM Plugin Does not work as a Service

I am trying to use UltraVNC to work with encryption to connect to my servers. I can do so with no problems if I am running winvnc.exe as an application. However, when I run it as s service the viewer hangs with the viewer status saying "Negotiate Protocol Version". This si the case with all plugins regardless of version.

I am using UltraVNC 1.1.0.2
My server is running Windows Server 2003 R2 SP 2 and my client is running Windows XP SP2

Any help will be greatly apprecited. I am desparate.
