Vnc viewer "Always on top" ONLY when viewer window

Post by Mark Cranness »

Currently when the Vnc viewer window is Full Screen Ctrl+Alt+F12, the window has OnTop set so that it displays over the top of the local taskbar.

However, this interferes with Alt+TABing away from the viewer window.

What happens is that focus does leave the viewer window, BUT you can't see the other window you have transfered to, because the viewer is still OnTop

Could the VNC viewer set OnTop when it has the focus (WM_ACTIVATE, wParam=WA_ACTIVE|WM_CLICKACTIVE), and clear OnTop when it loses the focus (WM_ACTIVATE, wParam=WA_INACTIVE)?
That might cover/hide the local taskbar, but still allow switching away from the viewer to local windows.

MS Remote Desktop/mstsc.exe works this way.

Thanks,
Mark
