incompatible xtightvncviewer?

Post by fabske »

I created successfully SC with the website and used it for long time to support Windows from my Debian Lenny. Therefore I simple started

Code: Select all

xtightvncviewer -encodings "hextile copyrect" -listen
on my Lenny. Suddenly on one of my Lenny machines it didn't run anymore. There was only

Code: Select all

xtightvncviewer -listen: Listening on port 5500
xtightvncviewer -listen: Command line errors are not reported until a connection comes in.
Connected to RFB server, using protocol version 3.8
and no more. On the other Lenny machine it ran well, so I thought it was a connection problem. Now i upgraded both Lenny machines and it doesn't run no more on no machine. As I can see the xtightvncviewer was upgraded from 1.2.9-21 -> 1.3.9-4! With the old package everything was right, but with the new one not. I also read about the same experience of other people in the internet.
Also tried to build SC again, maybe there was something updated.
Is there a solution?
