RE 3) Server is running as application on a Vista or WIN7 and you have an elevated "system" window open. To access "system" windows winvnc
need to be running as service.

Can someone explain how to check or set it so that UVNC is running as a service. Thanks.


RE 2) You mean it should be unchecked, right ?

If you click the tray icon
- install service
- uninstall service
value depend on the current status

2) view only--> cause is you have checked...
Solution -> uncheck :)

OK, it was running as a Service.

I also checked ultravnc.ini and LocalInputsDisabled=0 (read/write, control allowed)

And on vncviewer I delete saved settings and tried again.

Status is the same - I can connect, and can transfer files, but I'm locked in a world of view only with 1.0.8...

W7 Home Prem on both machines - clean installs.

I uninstalled 1.0.8 in the server machine and installed 1.0.6 and all works fine now. Seems to be an issue with 1.0.8...
