copy and paste when viewing remote computer

Post by rp_guy »

hi,
i'm not sure if this has been mentioned before, but let's say i want to copy and paste something from one computer to another (plain text)

usually i will select my text, CTRL+C, then open vncviewer, log in, and then CTRL+V. however, this does not paste what i've just copied, but instead pastes what's on the clipboard on the remote computer. now, usually i do this to send people links over msn, and i've come very close to sending some links i shouldn't be!

is there any way that this can be changed so that even after logging into a remote computer, uVNC will copy the local clipboard to the remote clipboard?

thanks

I had the same problem (XP at both ends), wouldn't CTRL+V or right-click paste from local clipboard into forms open on the host. Then I opened File Transfer and uploaded a file to the host. After this I noticed that Copy and Paste worked fine both ways.

Got the same problem before, but somehow copying manually like right click on mouse then right click to paste works than ctrl C and ctrl V.

Thanks rp-guy for bringing that up; you save me a lot of time. I concur, this would definitely be a very nice feature. Can it be added? please advise.

It definitely has that feature already! Just open File Transfer and upload something (anything) to remote host. Then copy & paste works.
