port & config command line switches

Post by lodac »

Hello,

Thanks for this wonderful product, it has been providing great service for the educational sector we manage for several years.

I would like to request that we have a cmd line switch for the winvnc.exe

-port

-port:xxxx to override the port provided in the ultravnc.ini

-config

-config:path/to/some/ultravnc.ini

The -port option would take care of the need for -config, however it would be nice to have that option. the config path could be local or unc.

When trying to initiate a winvnc.exe -multi -run it auto selects the next available port. This port number is hard to get when using a thin-client environment. providing a -port switch would allow us to script a bat file to specify the port per thin-client.

Any insight on this would be much appreciated.
